Building the Brand for Aberdeen Science Centre’s VR Experience

At Rocket 5, we love helping ambitious organisations bring bold ideas to life through creative branding and design. So, we were delighted to partner once again with Aberdeen Science Centre (ASC) to support the launch of their innovative new Virtual Reality (VR) experience by building a brand identity that captures its spirit of exploration and learning.

Creating the VR Experience Brand

Rocket 5 developed a complete visual identity for the VR experience that reflects ASC’s mission to inspire curiosity through science and technology. Our work included:

• A vibrant, distinctive VR experience logo that embodies the energy and excitement of discovery

• A custom illustration designed for use across promotional and educational materials

• Flexible, easy-to-update digital display and social media templates, allowing ASC to tailor messages for different VR subjects

• A bold pull-up banner to support promotion at events and within the centre itself

Our goal was to create branding that is engaging, accessible and future-proof, supporting ASC as they expand their VR offering over time.

About the VR Experience

Aberdeen Science Centre’s VR experience invites visitors to explore the hidden world of oil and gas production, from platform to seabed. Using real data and developed with BP, the 360-degree tour of the Clair Ridge platform offers an authentic educational journey into the energy sector.

Designed for ages 8+, the experience helps open young minds to the possibilities of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) — aligning perfectly with ASC’s mission to inspire the next generation.
