Angus & Oink

Angus & Oink is an Aberdeenshire-based company specialising in bold, globally inspired BBQ rubs, seasonings, and sauces. Founded in 2014 by Malissa and Scott Fraser, the brand emerged from their passion for authentic flavours discovered during their time in the Southern US and South America. Today, Angus & Oink offers a diverse range of products that bring the essence of international barbecue to kitchens across the UK and beyond.

The Challenge

Angus & Oink asked Rocket 5 to design a product brochure that showcased their full range. With a strong brand already in place, they needed a bold, on-brand piece to include in online orders — something that introduced customers to their flavours, product lines, and story

Our Approach

We began with a discovery session and two prototype spreads to explore the layout. Working closely with the team, we designed each page to reflect their energetic, rebellious brand — balancing food photography, global flavour illustrations, and layered visuals with clear navigation.

The Solution

Rocket 5 delivered a print-ready brochure and digital version, structured by global flavour regions, with sections on how-to guides and the brand story. Built using Adobe Creative Suite, the design repurposed supplied and sourced visuals, and led to more work including packaging and apparel.

The Results

The finished brochure was a hit with the Angus & Oink team, who felt it captured the bold energy of their brand while presenting their product range in a clear and engaging way. It became a versatile marketing asset — included in online orders, used at events, and shared digitally on their website — helping to raise awareness of their full offering and spark curiosity among customers.

The success of the project led to an ongoing creative partnership. Rocket 5 was brought back to design packaging for their BBQ tools, a special-edition label for a Kelly’s Kitchen collaboration, and branded merchandise like caps and stickers included with orders. It’s a relationship built on bold ideas, shared vision, and trust in the power of great design.
